This has been a go-to beer of choice for cooking lately--mostly due to price if not anything else. In terms of a dry stout it holds up pretty well. Starts off really strong with a nice mocha and chocolate mix of creaminess. The finish is disappointing though, fizzling out into a dry but bland ending. A solid beer, nonetheless.

Brune opaque coiffée d’une mousse de velour, créée par la technologie Guinness (elle est en canette). Une dentelle, comme dans les livres sur le sujet. Des effluves de café et de levain semble constituer le principal des arômes, tout en étant agréables. Un goût légèrement acidulé au début, interrompu seulement l’espace d’un instant par une mince saveur maltée, pour y revenir en arrière-goût pour y camper. Elle est agréable sans être mémorable. 440ml can. Beautiful cascade pour, very dark colour, slighty red on the edges, huge mocha creamy head. Aroma is lots of chocolate and coffee and slight bread yeast. Taste is ok, but a little bland. Body is kind of flat and watery. Overall, starts strong, finishes poor.

Pours a deep dark mahogany with a very long lasting tan head. takes a second to settle down. aromas of roasted malts, and brown butter. Very simple taste of roast malts, a touch of smoke. very smooth mouth feel and quit enjoyable.

Darkest black brown, artifically perfect nitrogen charged creamy tan head sloooooowly settles and lasts. Beer gas allows a muted aroma of dark sweet roasted malt. Flat and lifeless, taste of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts, lightly bitter, thin and watery. Low carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Despite this, it is still drinkable and surprisingly flavorful, which may be why it scores so high, but not here. Short dry finish. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

can. Poured opaque brown with a nice creamy tan head. Roasty and sweet molasses aroma. Thin carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Roasted coffee and slightly sour flavour. A very smooth session brew.

Versé dans une pinte, ce liquide complètement noir présente une mousse crémeuse et densifié. Les parfums qui montent vers mon nez sont simples mais très efficaces. Ce sont cette même torréfaction et ces même bons grains noircis que je m’empresse de découvrir en bouche. C’est goûteux et très plaisant. Je suis agréablement surpris. L’impression en bouche est très concluante. Le liquide caresse l’ensemble de mon palais. La finale amère et soutenue reste propre, sans acidité, et élégante. Voilà un produit intéressant à faible prix et à bonheur élevé.

huge tall can nice frothy light brown head beauty black color with a nice malty kinda coffee smell quite pleasent taste is very good too good strong stout flavorwith mild choc notes and coffee ones i also noticed it could have just been because it was a can but a very light hidden metal taste but i still enjoyed it nothing to crazy or amazing but a good solid stout that clocks in at four point two i think not to bad mill st.

On tap at some London restaurant. Nice opaque black pour with very rich, very creamy off white head. Aroma is potent for something served with beergas, nice crisp roasted grain aroma, burnt grain, light coffee, super clean yet not dull. Strong roasty flavor, coffee. Very drinkable and light on the palate despite low carbonation, bone dry. Strong showing.

Cannette de 440ml. Bière noire opaque avec une superbe mousse crémeuse beige qui vient de son conditionnement à l’azote. Au nez cette bière est à si méprendre avec une Guinness Draught avec une touche métallique en plus. Des grains rôtis avec une touche malt grillé. La bouche est crémeuse, ronde, facile. Touche de grain rôti et finale sur des houblons simples mais efficaces. D’une grande digestibilité, cette bière n’est pas la plus complexe mais combien facile à boire à grande lampée.
