3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Roasty aroma of coffee and chocolate. Opaque near-black colour. Flavour of roasted malt, coffee, and nuts. Sustained bitterness. Heavy body with strong carbonation. Good flavours but a bit too bubbly for my liking.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
As is often the case with Mill Street beers Iím tempted to rate this extremely low out of spite. I will attempt to restrain myself.
Pour is a typical nitrogen stout pour, ie it looks like a Guinness. Nose is faint chocolate and coffee, muted roasted notes hiding under a blanket of foam. So it smells like a Guinness. Taste is light chocolate/coffee and roasted grain with a finish thatís nicely dry. Flavour profile overall is nice, but subdued - so it tastes like a Guinness, complete with that flat mouthfeel thatís typical of nitrogen cans. Overall another blah entry from Mill Street.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours jet black, with a thick mocha head. Aroma includes light coffee, chocolate , and mash notes. The palate is a little light, with notes of weak coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and a slight bitter finish. Not bad, this is basically a clone of Guinness.

Can from LCBO. Pours dark, dark brown with a red edge and an off white head. Light malty aroma, not big. Light to medium body, a bit thin, mild carbonation. Treacle, toffee, light some, toast, light coffee and a little dark choc. Good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can shared by b3shine. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Good roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth dry texture with soft carbonation. Moderate toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. Solid drinkable dry stout.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Visual: Aluminum can. Pours ultra dark brown/black with bubbles clinging near the bottom-base of the glass, virtually no head, a very thin ringed retention, almost no activity other than a few bubbles surfacing.
Nose: medium roasted malts, burntness. (lvl-6)-pungency.
Attack: thin-watery, sharp nitrogenated mouthfeel
Mid-palate: med-high sourness, (lvl-4)-sweetness (MAIN) roasted malts, coffee
Finish: roasted coffee exhale, bittersweet malty finish.
Summary: The watery mouthfeel coupled with the almost flat mouthfeel put me off on this one. Flavour of roasted malt is ok but texturally unbalanced on the sour side.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
440 ml can from an LCBO in Toronto. A pitch black colour pour with an impressive, nitro-powered, milk chocolate coloured head about an inch thick; rich drinking chocolate aroma; a thin milky body with a pleasnt coffee taste, perhaps a little too sweet though; and a dry chocolate milk finish with a touch of bitterness. Overall rather good.

Can. A good middle of the road stout. I prefer my stouts from a bottle, they donít feel as proud coming from a can. Has a strong roasted coffee taste lots of dark chocolate bitterness. Has a nice thick creamy mouth feel and finishes dry like the style implies. A tasty dry stout.
