After pouring this I thought the the aroma was a bit too smokey. I was wrong after tasting. Wow a nice light bodied stout. Another quality product from Mill St.

44cl can via IP trade, thanks to Asheft - Alex.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer is pitch black with large creamy mocha head. Nose is all about coffee: roasted coffee beens, coffee in a cup... I did not follow the rule stated on the can that I must serve this beer cold. Mine was at ambient temperature and I am glad I had it that way! Mouthfeel is warm and overwhelming as the liquid goes down the throat. Cons: this beer suffers from a lack of body (of course it’s a 4,2% ABV beer, I know) and texture is a bit too watery to my palate. Flavours of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee are quite complex (for a low level alcohol beer) and last long in the mouth. Usually not my type, this beer still a very nice and enjoyable stout!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
15 ounce nitro can into imperial pint glass, canned on 6/13/2014. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 2 finger dense and creamy tan head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, brown sugar, dark bread, light nuttiness, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, brown sugar, dark bread, light nuttiness, herbal, light char, and roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, light nuttiness, light char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and robustness of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, and slightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a really excellent dry stout style. All around great balance and robustness of roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours black with creamy off white head. Very attractive. Not much to speak of in the way of aromas. Maybe a bit of coffee and lactose. Nice creamy lactose and dark malt flavors.

Mill Street wows me again (this and the Vanilla Porter) with another roasty brew. A beaut in the looks depot, this blackness sports a thick and creamy light beige cap that sticks around for weeks. Apparently they used "beer gas" whatever the fuck that is. It looks good and I am hoping it ain’t straight poison for the sake of a good topper. Roast malts, burnt toast, coffee, chocolate, nuts, licorice and light basement waft up. Bittersweet flavour with a welcome chocolate sweetness keeping the bitter roasty aspects in check. Full-ass mouthfeel on this low ABV beer-panther, a great aftertaste and the handsome appearance make this a Dry Stout to be remembered.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head and nice lacing. Taste is roasted malt with coffee and dark chocolate. Pretty normal for a stout, but nothing stands out as exceptional but I’d have it again.
