Pours cloudy straw yellow from bottle with medium white head. Aroma is more or less typical for wheat beer plus some fruity, oaky notes, a little different, but good. Average body and carbonation with pear cider taste on top of the expected wheat malts. Overall, a different but quite refreshing brew.

October 12, 2012 - draught pint at Bar Hop. Hazy gold with a small creamy/foamy off-white head (3-). Aroma is grassy, diacetyl - like burnt fake buttered popcorn and weeds - MAYbe grapeseed. Taste - grape juice, paper, butter and scorched grass. Average body, airy carbonation, finishes quickly and harsh, greasy fake butter aftertaste.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 blankboy (5152) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2012
Draught at Bar Hop. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a small diminishing frothy white head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of grain, sugar, paper, caramel malt and vegetal notes. Flavour of caramel malt, a hint of spice and some fruit. Average bodied. Barrel-aged, really? You’d never know it. Not very good.

Tap at Bar Hop. Pale amber pour. The nose is slightly fruity with a touch of light oaky vanilla as well. Softly sweet with a moderate level of earthy hoppiness. A little bit of light fruit on the back and some lingering sweetness. Pretty tame and not all that interesting.

Slightly hazy straw pour, foamy white head. Aroma is a bready, a little sweet. White wine. Slight grassy tones (could be the wine). Light body. A little sweet, clean finish. Watery. Would probably be nice on a hot day with something spicy. Unfortunately it’s a cold night. Pass.
