COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mill Street’s version of a Czech-style Pilsner lager with more of everything in it - malt, hops and alcool ! ("Doppel" means "double" in German). German malts and hops along with Czech Saaz hops weave a large but delicate balance between smooth malt richness and dry floral hoppiness. Prost !

Not a lot on the nose for this yellow brown beer. Frothy white head lingers a long time in the glass. Flavors are kind of strange with nothing really standing out. I haven’t tried too many Heller Bocks. This is definitely not one of my favorites.

2013-05-18. Crisp dark yellow body, small off-white head. 3+ Modest aroma, lightly grassy hops, mild lightly grainy malt character. 6+ Flavour is similar, lightly grassy hops, sweet biscuity pale malt, lighty grainy accents. 6+ Very smooth average plus body has soft carbonation. 3++ Decent but not really to my own taste. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Beer pours a clear gold colour with a thin white ring for a head. Aroma is grains and cereal. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with mild carbonation. Flavour is grainy malt, with a bitter finish, Quite easy to drink.

olden beer with decent white head. Floral and fruity aroma with peppery tones. Tastes the same as it smells. Lots of rich malt, hop, and grain flavours. Not a true double; need more bite. But a really good beer which I quite enjoyed

341ml bottle. Looks like a semi-filtered, darker pils, moderate head. Aroma is apple, noble hops, a hint of skunk. Earthy and herbal hops, sweet malt. Overall, reminds me of a cross between malt liquor and pilsner.

bottle. Poured clear gold with a creamy off-white head. Light grassy hop aroma. Medium body with a somewhat thick mouthfeel, dry metallic finish. Bready malt flavour but not overly hoppy, alcohol comes through.

Rather semi-original though unexciting beer, on tap at Bar Hop. Yeasty. Weak on the pils side, though mineral bitterness picks up in the finish. Sourishish dark beer. Dark yellow body.

Heavy cereal and grainy malts, mild caramel toasted notes and a hint of grassy hops. Very plain and abit bland up front with a general heavy lager style flavour and a bit of astringency on the finish. Overall, very boring brew.

Pours a clear golden colour with a spotty white foam on top. Aroma is pale malts and floral noble hops. Flavour is crisp pale malts with that saaz spicy bitterness. Not my favourite style but this is done pretty decently.
