2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiulijn (12360) - Malmö, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2012
Draught at the brewpub Amber color, creamy head. The aroma is a bit dusty. Dry caramel flavor, dusty too, and with too much roastiness; relatively strong bitterness. More an anonymous American Amber than a ESB.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 VT (872) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 1, 2012
Cask at Vankleek Hill’s/Beau’s Oktoberfest. Dark orange, almost opaque. Short lasting white head. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, cereals, biscuit. Some English hops, light herb and earth. Somewhat long lasting bitterness. Light bodied, watery. I’ve had better.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BreWedge (182) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 22, 2012
On tap @ Mill Street TO Pearson. Pours a very light brown bordering gold with a thin head. Aroma was hard to discern. Taste is roasty malts, some biscuit, and some bitter hops. Mouthfeel is a mild bite from the hops with a short finish.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 patricks110 (1259) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 26, 2012
Very bland overall. Pours out a beautiful light brown in the body with a thin beige head that dies quickly. Big carbonation lingers for a long time. The nose is sweet and lightly spiced with hints of lemon and big grainy malts. Hints of honey and light skunk with no chocolate but and off fruity flavor. Overall a light astringecy on the finish, but not much at all going on

A keeper! I think I’ve been a little tough on these guys, but I always respect what they’re doing and here’s a good example that shows they know how to make great beer. Marris Otter shining through in this beautiful blend; if I bought this on tap in an English village I’d be pleased, it’s what a fine and dandy ESB should be. Surprised this isn’t one of their highest rated brews.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kevinsenn (583) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 13, 2012
On tap at Beertown (Hespeler). Dark amber and clear. Mild caramel and English hops aroma. Taste is toasty, slightly roasty, caramel, and nutty. There’s not enough hop presence for the style, and the finish is mildly bitter. There’s also a bit of "hay" towards the end, and it’s a little watery (but not too much). Carbonation seems high for the style.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lagerboy (705) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 11, 2012
Nice clear copper, foamy off white head fades. Grassy piney malty aroma. Caramel malt taste with a light bitterness, some fruit notes. Average carbonation, light bodied. Light bitter finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Strangebrewer (646) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2012
bottle. Poured clear amber-orange with a very thin white head. The aroma is light with sweet caramel malt. Body is a bit fizzy, average. Flavour is nice with caramel, some nuttiness and a grassy hops note, but it’s just lacking something.
