Draft at the brewery. The body is clear, brown with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet and the flavor is dull. A sense of vanilla perhaps.

[6727-20140912] Sample. Creamy toffee maple grains aroma. Slightly hazy, red brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Cereal maple and toffee grains flavour. Bitter medium body. Interesting brew. (8/3/7/3/15) 3.6+

2014-09-12. Orange amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma is on the sweet side, with touches of caramel and sweet malt base. Flavour is similarly sweet, with caramel malt profile. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay, a bit dull but I actually kind of like it for what it is. On cask at C’est What Festival, Toronto

Growler from the Toronto brewpub retail store. Pours a clear copper colour with small off-white head. Aroma is sweet fruit, biscuit and caramel. Flavour is sugar, fruity/caramelly malt and light earthy bitterness. Carbonation on the lighter side. Sessionable.

750ml bottle from the brewpub in Ottawa. Pours a clean amber colour with an off-white that is frothy, long lasting and gives out some foamy lace. Hoppy nose with fruity nose and caramel malts. The hop is a little less in the taste, but still present with some grassiness in the finish. Fruity malts mostly with a little caramel in the back. Not so much an English ESB, but a decent session brew. More of an amber ale overall.

On tap @ Mill Street Ottawa. Pours a clear light amber with a small off white head. Aroma is subtle. Maybe a little fruit. Taste is nice biscuit, bitter hop profile throughout, and some alcohol. Medium body, full and round with a medium length bitter finish. I felt the alcohol and hops overpowered the malts a little too much for my tastes. Still a nice ESB. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

A hazed amber ESB with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, nice caramel with loads of pungent grassy hops, piney and resinous, nice. In mouth, a sweet smooth grainy caramel malt, grassy hops, not bad. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Jan 17, 2012.

This one was weird for me. Pours amber with little head and some lacing. Aromas dominated with what felt like pumpkin spice to me. Didn’t work for me at all.

Draught at Volo. Pours a deep orange-amber with an average size semi-lasting frothy tan head. Mild, sweet aroma of sugar, fruit, very light hops and some paper. Fruity flavour along with caramel malt, light fruity hops and a light sugary sweetness. Average bitter finish. Just O.K., mediocre. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.
