3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: cloudy pale amber with one fat finger of creamy eggshell head, good retention and heavy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: sweet lemon iced tea, light wheat. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly sticky finish. (4/5)
Surprisingly drinkable for a fairly sweet beer. The hop presence is is fairly low, but it interacts well with the black tea flavour to give an overall bitterness that’s more emphatic than it would otherwise have been. It reminds me of sweet iced tea (but the real brewed stuff, not the cheap fake stuff). (15/20)

Draft pour at Mill Street brewery in Toronto, part of a flight. Sweet and tea flavor as expected. Surprisingly very tasty.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.568 draught. Hazy, honey color and a small white head. Delicate aroma of citruses, pale malts, and perhaps a touch of tea. Taste is very tea-like with a delicate hint of lemon. Light body, slick texture, and average carbonation. Finish is spicy: curry, tea, cumin, and lemon. Overall an intriguing beer, mediocre in general but with a puzzling finish.

15 ounce can into imperial pint glass, canned on 11/12/2014. Pours hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good spiced wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Looks attractive but overall the flavours and aroma age pretty subdued. Taste is slight tea and lemon as the name suggests but quite flat and watery. Not that I’d want an intense lemon or read flavour in beer anyway.

Came in the Summer box set. Poured a golden colour with a very short lived head. Has a nice light lemon flavour and some spiciness to it. Very refreshing. It’ll make you want to mow the lawn, even in winter, if you have enough.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
473ml can from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Golden amber in colour with a thin quickly dissipating white head, very light lacing. The aroma is of lemons, soap, flowers, light cereal and grains. The flavour is of light lemons, floral, quite soapy, sweet, some toasted caramel malts, earthy, iced tea. Sweet mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a bit of lemons, watery with some sweetness. Not to fond of this. The lemons add a strong chemicalness to this. Possibly the Stock Ale with lemon flavouring?

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Pours a dark amber with a thick white head. Plenty of carbonation.
Aromas are very light. A mild maltiness and some wet cardboard. Both faint. Not really getting much lemon, or tea. Maybe a slight whiff of vanilla in there.
Light mouthfeel. Hints of caramel malts up front, lemon finally comes through on the actual swallow, although quite light.
Overall add this one to Mill Street’s unfortunate growing stack of unremarkable and forgettable beers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Surprised this 16 oz can is 5%. Thought it would be less. $3 @vintage estate. Nice head, darker hefe like pour. Not much aroma but I guess it does have a little lemon perfume thing going on. Much more impact than expected, was thinken this would be some low alky shandy thing, boy was I wrong. Lemon yes, but its more like something unsweetened, not like lemon aide @ all. Weird, like lemon with just a tad of tea and the big beery thing inthe background. On wing night, this is not as good as a yeengy B&T but SWTF? Yea, has enough alky to let you know its beer but its not possessive of any real ill ale attributes. Go figger, a wheat eh?
