A remarkable wheat beer infused with a blend of Orange Pekeo and Earl Grey teas. It pours a light amber colour and will charm you with its sublime tea flavour and subtle lemon twist. A trully Canadian take on one of Europe’s newest beer styles.

Bottled. Fresh, citrusy aroma. Pours with a cloudy orange hue and small head. Highly carbonated. Refreshing hoppy flavour with lemon hints throughout and a slightly bitter finish. Very refreshing.

Lett tåkete brun med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter eple, sitron og trevirke. Lett. Mer sitron i smak enn i lukt. Lett sødme, mot honning og maltekstrakt. Lett, kortbitterhet avslutning.

Absolutely terrible. Like run off beer from your local neighbourhood dive with a hint of Brisk added as if that would cover up the shameful piss peddled by Mill St.

Visual: (seasonal sampler 6-pack). Pours cloudy marmalade orange with a small 1mm head, fast and slow bubbles here and there. Nose: faint earl grey, barley malt (lvl-3)-pungency Attack: crisp, background subdued sourness Mid-palate: (lvl-4-sweetness), black tea, bergamot oil, lemon, wheat malt, tangy Finish: soft wheat malt roughness, partially thin, cane sugar barley malt sweetness. Summary: Tea and beer, a perfect match for me! This is my first tea infused beer and I’m quite liking the style. Although this particular tea beer doesn’t have extraordinary depth or length, the transitions are smooth and it has decent complexity.

Sampled form a 473ml can this beer poured a hazy copper color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tea, orange, ginger and wheat. The flavor was bitter and tart with lemon and iced tea notes. Long iced tea finish. Light body. Meh.

Remarkable wheat beer isn’t exactly the way I’d term this beer but it’s better than I would have assumed. Pours hazy orange with ok head. Light tea and lighter lemon notes - this is probably a good thing. Oh mill street how I missed thee. Light touch of rust and tang in finish. Tap at airport brewpub.

Appearance: cloudy pale amber with one fat finger of creamy eggshell head, good retention and heavy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: sweet lemon iced tea, light wheat. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly sticky finish. (4/5) Surprisingly drinkable for a fairly sweet beer. The hop presence is is fairly low, but it interacts well with the black tea flavour to give an overall bitterness that’s more emphatic than it would otherwise have been. It reminds me of sweet iced tea (but the real brewed stuff, not the cheap fake stuff). (15/20)

Draft pour at Mill Street brewery in Toronto, part of a flight. Sweet and tea flavor as expected. Surprisingly very tasty.

0.568 draught. Hazy, honey color and a small white head. Delicate aroma of citruses, pale malts, and perhaps a touch of tea. Taste is very tea-like with a delicate hint of lemon. Light body, slick texture, and average carbonation. Finish is spicy: curry, tea, cumin, and lemon. Overall an intriguing beer, mediocre in general but with a puzzling finish.

15 ounce can into imperial pint glass, canned on 11/12/2014. Pours hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, black tea, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good spiced wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of lemon/tea spice, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Looks attractive but overall the flavours and aroma age pretty subdued. Taste is slight tea and lemon as the name suggests but quite flat and watery. Not that I’d want an intense lemon or read flavour in beer anyway.
