3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I’ve had this brew a few times on tap but this is the first time I bought it in bottles to try a few in a row and really evaluate it. The verdict is in – this is a very decent pumpkin ale, probably the best in the local market. Pours a shimmering orange color with an off-white cap. Pungent aromas of pumpkin spice, grains and musty herbaceous pumpkin. Between the spices, hops and carbonation, the front side of the flavor profile is very sharp and peppery, this then mellows as the malt and pumpkin tastes arrive to give some fair balance and light complexity. The finish is sharp and drying with spice and hops providing a spicy bittering. A really great Canadian pumpkin ale

Light aroma of pumpkin seasonings and a nice orange colour, excellent and surprising pumpkin flavour of taste, with the seasonings to be there as well. Thin mouthfeel

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy amber with a fading off white head. The aroma is of pumpkin spices- cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, as well as some spicy yeast. The taste is pretty dry and crisp up front, with a strong pumpkiny hop finish and some lasting warmth on the palate.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A lightly hazed amber with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a cloying mix of butterscotch and pie spices, with ginger cloves and some spoiled meat notes. In mouth, a light watery spiced beer with ginger and cinnamon hearts, boring and plain. On tap at Ottawa location, Sept 26 2012.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Pub Italia hanging out with the residents. Aroma has some candy corn and pumpkin. Some legit vegetal pumpkin flavor, slight candy corn, surprisingly bitter hops, and overpowering ginger spiciness. This ginger like spice really gets in the way of an otherwise solid beer.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Copper with a light head and big pumpkin and spice aroma. Smells like spice and roast pumpkin not pumpkin pie which is good. A little thin in body and not enough malt to support the heavy dark spice load.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very nice orange copper color with a off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose and tastes of nutmeg a bit of vanilla and soe wheat malt. Has a nice dry finish to it. Very good pumpkin/fall beer.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Part of the Mill Street Autumn Harvest Sampler with 3 of these (and 3 of the Oktoberfest). Pours a copper-amber colour with a frothy off-white head, good retention and thick patchy lace. Decent aromas of pumpkin pies, with nutmeg and cinnamon spices, pumpkin purée and hints of malt. Crisp mouthfeel with not much there. The taste is a little deceiving. Mild with a little pumpkin and very little spices. Was expecting a bit more (as I like pumpkin brews). Love the name though.
