shintriad (663), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2008 Very funky aroma: sea water and ever sewage. Metallic orange with a nice foamy head. Harsh body, somewhat bitter initially with a malty finish. Caramel malts, bread and perhaps some spice. pootzboy (855), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Oct 10, 2007 Tapped a amber-orange with a fair cap with moderate retention.
Aroma is light toasted bread crusts over some herbal-woody noble tones.
Medium bodied decent malt spine toasty-woodsy character, creamy mouth feel.
Nice toasty malts in the front, joinded by ample noble balance...deep woody-herbal-toasty tones mid palate...finishes lightly drying with nice Hersbrucker"bite" in the finish and a slow herbal bittering with a bready after taste.
Good malty O-fest...slightly hop biased...very very drinkable. Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 29, 2007 Updated: Oct 29, 2007Half pint at the C’est What? Fall Festival of Beers. Appearance-wise, this beer is okay, with a nice amber body, but a rapidly diminishing white head. Aroma is very subtle and fresh, although I would have liked it to be more assertive. Taste has spices and sweet malts all over it, finishing with a moderate bitterness. Glad I tried it, but I think I’ll give it a miss in the future. mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 1, 2007 Updated: Dec 26, 2007[086-20061104] Tap @ Mill St. (Toronto, ON). Skunky chocolate bread or pizza aroma. Clear, dark amber body with a quick white head and one centralized stream of bubbles. Tastes of light bitter chocolate with a baby-poo aftertaste. Medium body, nice feel. Tastes a bit off but... it’s not. (Must re-rate later.) (5/4/4/3/9) 2.5
[712B-20070928] Tap @ C’est What 2007 FOSB (Toronto, ON). Faint grains and brewery alcohol aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a big long-lasting creamy white head. Some pumpkin fruit and old malt grain in the flavour. Medium body. Not repeatable.
