mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2008 [1054-20080119] Tap @ Mill St. (Toronto, ON). Intense aroma of creamed corn with light floral notes. Clear, pale yellow body with a long-lasting creamy white head. More creamed corn and grains in the flavour. Smooth light body. Is it wrong that this is actually enjoyable?? Definitely very interesting for a non-alcoholic beer. jerc (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 20, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Yellow body with a small white head and decent lacing. (3+) Sweet flora aroma, muted malt notes. Similar flavour of sweet malt and muted floral hints. Dilute lightly astringent, very grainy malt character that I imagine to be what the last runnings when mashing might be like, but have no experience to compare it to directly. Average palate. Dramatically better than most non-alcoholic brews I have tried, but that is sort of damning it with faint praise. Tastes sort of like a very mild, sweet, unfermented wort. Appearance : Crystal clear golden lager with bright medium sized top. Decent lace was shown.4- Nose :Light herbal nose with sweet grainy base. Pleasant, fresh with out any indications of being non alcoholic. Flavour/Palate : Light bodied. Thin some cardboard like feel typical to such brew. Decent, clean malty , grainy character more like Bohemian Pils a la Ontario. Light herbal hop character. Thin and watery but this makes good choice if you need to go alcohol less.
