Mill Street Original Organic Lager

Bottle. Clear pale yellow with a medium frothy white head. Above average retention and no lacing. Aroma is grainy with a very tiny bit of hops. Flavor is malt with herbal hops and a touch of citrus. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel.

Beer in a clear bottle? Bottle that fits in your wallet? Any and all the marketing Mill St. has done for this has failed upon first glance. As for the beer - Dumped out a very pale gold with ok bubbs and a 1 finger crown that vanishes quickly. Aroma is very plain. Grassy / grainy, slightly metallic and some apple. Taste is probally the weakest quality of this beer. Has a Euro-clone quality, quite grainy but that doesn’t help enough as there is a serious lack of flavour here giving a defined watery quality. Is this a light beer or what? Christ, they should make that 4.2% a little more obvious. Very active carbonation. Thin. Has one of the shortest lived bitter feels ever. Ends chemcally. Ick. Whatever this cost was too much. Remember friends, organic does not equate to better flavour. Oh my God! It’s organic!....and it’s crap - organic crap.

Awww….how cute look at this little bottle its so small and tiny where’s the rest of the beer. This stuff even before I poured it (because of the clear bottle) was barely looking like beer such a pale gold it was one step away from being water, but when I did pour a good sized cap was produced so that rescued the look of this small bottle of water a little. Powerful Euro skunk greeted me when the brew was first poured but weakened after a while, this totally reminds me of a euro trash beer but some what better. Taste is corn and lots of it combined with metallic tasting hops and finishes dry and dusty. I guess its drinkable and better then I thought it would be but it aint good enough to ever consider buying again. And what’s with the tiny ass bottle. Review done while watching Mythbusters.

App.: Bright golden-yellow, clear, small white head; no pesticide colours. Aroma: Grain and cereal, corn, hints of light peppery hops; no pesticide notes. Palate: Medium-light body, slightly astringent, fairly full carbonation; no pesticide feel. Flav.: More grain and cereal, maybe a touch of herbal hops, dry, mineral/thin aftertaste; no pesticide flavours.

Cute bottle. Try adding some malathion or permethrin for flavour.

341 ml bottle. Pours bright golden in colour, with decent white head. Aroma and flavour is mild, typical for a pale lager. Decent, drinkable.

Obviously from Mill St. there’s something unique about the brewery. This offering is tame in every way. But it is pretty good. There is a nice bitterness that leaves next to no after taste which helps go for that refreshing quality I look for in a pl.

From bottle. Golden colour with a thin crispy white head. Bit of honey in aroma with malt. Pretty typical lager aroma. Bitter texture with citrus. Chemical hints.
