This lager poured a light yellow colour with next to no head at all. To the nose it was pretty boring. I could get a little yeast scent with a sweet smell. The mouthfeel was lame and watery but not bad. Slight hop flavours with a little sugar. A very small flavour of caramel on the palate at the end.
215 ml bottles????? How useless is this quantity?

215 ml Bottle, 4.2% a/v
A nice amber color with fair carbonation. Smells like roasted grain to me. Tastes a little.. inexplicable. Its a fairly bland beer with hints at the malt in the nose. Goes down fairly smooth.
I wish the bottles were bigger, but its cute as it is ;-)

Ick. This beer tastes like potting soil. Seriously, it tastes like the Home Depot garden center smells. Not pleasant. Thankfully, the bottles are small.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap across from the brewery, this is a nice smooth lager - sweetish, restrained hopping, light finish, inoffensive.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Perhaps a bit fizzy but tastes considerably better than the international lagers it might be mistaken for. Very little hops, and a fair amount of water. Smooth and mild. Tastes all-malt (ie. no corn/rice, in my estimation). Cute teensy 10oz bottle it came in, too. Bought in Toronto.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle (215ml - clear). Weird little bottle. Poured pale bubbly yellow with a small white head. Aroma - strong grassy notes, straw, grass, hay, you name it - perhaps some sweet malt or stale hops, but the grass overpowers my nose. Taste is fizzy grass juice, finishes harsh, very thin, not a winner from these guys - stick to the coffee porter.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bought in the "minni miller" bottles...cute packaging will win over any "organics" freak that drinks beer....poured a pale straw with a smallish head that rings out quickly....virtually no odor except slight wisps of boiled grain..low carbonation...looked flat. Front side was watery with no pilsner stab of saaz hop...weak malt accented body,...finished fast with a slight bread after taste...looks flat ...tastes flat...donít get a flat.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Stupid looking 190 ml bottle. Very light straw colour, thin white head. Aroma is quite vegetal, slightly grainy. Watery body with a slight sweetness in the finish. Pretty poor effort.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clusters of gooey aroma ease up the sides of the glass, marshmallow oat treats baked in a fruitwood fired oven, old struck matches in morning wet meadows. Flavors crisp and clean touched by light honey and an acute finish of oak flavored greens.
This beer is designed for day hikes: a modest container, an ability to maintain good flavor--improve even--as it warms, refreshing and intricate. Pack a dozen in the rucksack and crack íem for contemplation at the top of Sugarloaf.
