This continental lager has a deep golden hue, a giant rocky white head and a malty sweet nose. The first taste is sweet, but leads to a dry, hoppy bitter finish in the German Style. Mill Street Organic Pilsner is an excellent accompaniment to food or an excellent thirst quencher on its own.

Bottle. Pours burnt sienna, with a thin white head and spotty lacing. Nose is solidly malty, though a bit too toffeeish, plus nice gentle hoppiness. Palate is soft and sweet. Better than some Pilseners I’ve had, but nothing terribly special.

Hey, wow, a beer from mill street that doesn’t make me want to cry. Smells of wet grass and light hops, pours a nice golden amber color, and actually has flavour! I know, mill street beer with flavor! wth?? Has a nice bitter taste, toasted white bread, and hops, both on the palate and after-palate. Really nice for a pilsener.

355ml bottle thanks to Robin ! Pours clear pale amber with a medium sized head. Head fades within the minute and leaves some nice lacing. Nose is nice malt and gentle hops. Some sweetness also. Taste is a bit disappointing. Malt is there but not much. Hops is present and tasteful. Finish is quite bitter. Nothing bad there but it lacks character. After couple minutes, aroma gets a bit veggy.

Bottle [34ml]. Pours a clear, very bubbly golden-orange with a diminishing fluffy white head. Slightly mild (but only slightly) aroma is decently hoppy with nice grassy hops but has some sweetness too with biscuity malt and sweet fruit. Flavour of grassy hops, sweet fruit and malt with a good dry bitter finish. I would have liked it to have been a bit more flavourful. Average to medium bodied. A pretty good Pilsener.

Bottle from LCBO (Toronto, ON). Pours a light honey color with no head. Aroma is light with notes of grass, wheat, yeast, a little light citrus, bread. Flavor is light and floral with notes of slight funk, bread, yeast, light floral esters. Generally light body with a crisp refreshing finish.

341 ml bottle in a 6-pack sampler from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. JL 04/09.

App.: Deep golden, clear, fair white froth. Aroma: Lots of dank, green, grassy hops, slightly tangy, some nice biscuit malts beneath that. Palate: Medium body, moderate, effervescence, not as smooth as it could be. Flav.: Grassy hops, slightly dank, some light caramel and some biscuit, lightly fruity; dry with decent bitterness.

Fairly true to style.

Poured a 341ml bottle with a rich and creamy head. Very little taste until you are hit with a very hoppy aftertaste that was unpleasing. Not a fan.

341ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a dark gold with a fluffy white head that had good retention and good lacing. Aroma of floral hops. At first, it tasted a bit malty and grassy, but about halfway through the glass, the hops came out to play, leaving a nice, bitter finish. I’d like to see six packs of this.
