3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RobBestwick (583) - Calgary, Alberta, - AUG 4, 2010Bottled. Sweet aroma with hints of toffee. Bronze hue with a frothy head. Malty start which then becomes an intense hoppy bitterness through to the finish. Medium palate. Good pilsner.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BreWedge (174) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
On tap @ Mill Street Pilsner. Pours a clear, dark gold with a small white head. Aroma was burnt toast or grain (my wife and I both at one point thought burnt hair), honey, biscuit. Bottom line, malt dominant. Taste was reflective of aroma in the toasty malts really come through. When coupled with some sweetness it reminds me a little bit of Honey Nut Cheerios. There’s a bit of of alcohol edge that balances the sweetness. Fairly light mouthfeel with a gentle bitter finish. I’m going against the grain (pun intended) on this one and will call this a very pleasant beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Reimer96 (594) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 3, 2012
On tap at YYZ airport brew pub. Pours a clear dark golden color with a nice white head that dissipates quickly but leaves some lace. Smell is of sweet pale malt. Taste is a dry malt flavor with that distinct pilsner yeast flavor and a moderate smooth bitterness on the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2012
Draught at the brewpub Golden color, creamy head. Light malt aroma. It has a quite good malt flavor, with light crispness too; I find the bitterness a bit too much here. Tasty Pilsner.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 czar (2232) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 4, 2012

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Eructoblaster (2446) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 29, 2012
On tap at the Ottawa brewpub. Golden body with a thin white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with bready hints. Taste is not bad but it is a bit too malty for a Pilsner. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal finish. Not bad.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 12, 2012
355ml bottle pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lace. Aroma is light cereal grains and mild flowery hops. Taste is a bold malty sweetness followed by a mild hop bitterness. A little sweet for the style. Light to medium body and generous carbonation lead to a nice tingle on the palate. A decent pilsener style beer.
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 pushkinwow (1338) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 4, 2012
On tap at Millstreet Ottawa. Amber with an off white head. Sweet with an off putting stale caramel aroma and light hops. Moderate carbonation and body, bit of a skunk taste, mild sweetness, did not enjoy after taste either.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 HeistAlmighty (820) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 30, 2011
355ml bottle. Pours a deep gold with one finger of short lived, foamy white head. Smells of sweet, light fruit and some floral hops. Taste is sweet malt and some floral notes with a decent hop bite on the finish. Palate was a little more watery that I’d prefer. Overall, not bad, but a little too sweet and thin. Not the best Mill St. available.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 worldbeertaste (1123) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2011
Hazy golden colour with a white head. Light malt and frutity smell. Sweet. some very subtle floral notes. Light carbonation.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rejtable (811) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2011
Not a bad rendition of the style. Bit sweeter than I’d expect, and the pilsner bite is less pronounced than in some of the classics I’ve tried. Still, I enjoyed the up front and through the middle sweetness, and the dry, hoppier finish as well. Medium carbonation, very light in the mouth. Great patio thirst quencher.
