COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Sparkling Ale (6/05)
A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brillant golden colour gives a “sparkling” appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

Poured into my mill street coffee porter tulip type glass,so it gave me a good head that lasted about a min or less but wasnt small and instantly gone like some ppl say. Smell’s clean, some corn, water and malt. Taste is water, cleaness, corn, light soft malt and a little hop but no hop bitterness like the brewery claim’s. Simple and easy drinking.

from bottle. Pours a light clear golden hue, thin head that vanishes dissapointedly quickly. Not a lot of aroma, maybe that was a wiff of something grassy, not sure. Little bit of hop induced bitterness, fresh grass, some lemons. rather watery with no detectable aftertaste after the swallow. Nothing to shout about.

Clear golden colour with a thin white frothy head.Malt aroma. The beer has a thin texture. Not much flavour. Nice on a hot day to wet your palette.

341ml bottle. Light, sweet aroma of fruity malt. A little sour. Pours pale gold yellow with a thin white head that doesn’t last. Taste is very sweet, a little sour and hint of hop bitterness. Palate is light and refreshing, on par for the style. Overall: Clean and crisp, but not especially well balanced. Better than macro lager, anyway.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly skunked taste is average, slightly malty slightly hopped , some corn.Very disappointing. This might not have gotten such a poor rating if I’d tried it on tap or from a non-clear bottle. Regardless, It’s mill St’s fault for choosing this bottling method...

Just a step up from the generic macro ales. More clean, less fake tasting for sure. Good carbonation, easy in the mouth. Nothing bad to say about it, but not much good either.

Bottle. Pale golden colour. A crisp flavour, a little tart, but not very pronounced. An alright beer, but nothing special,
