Formerly known as Sparkling Ale (6/05)
A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brillant golden colour gives a “sparkling” appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

Visual: (seasonal sampler 6-pack). Pours clear golden without much head, half ringed retention, slow steady singular streams. Nose: liquid sweet barley malt. (lvl-4)-pungency Attack: crisp, subtle CO2 fizzy Mid-palate: barley grain (lvl-4-sweetness), corn, liquid barley malt Finish: trace tanginess, basic flat barley malt sweet finish. Summary: Is there a slight citrusy component or am I imagining things? Likely the latter, this one is extremely BORING. Barely any body and very one note. DWYT = Don’t Waste Your Time.

Tap at the Brewpub. Pale yellow with off-white head and loads of bubbles. Doughy grainy nose, somewhat fruity. Flavour similar. Not really inspiring or exciting or stimulating, although I do see myself enjoying a pint of this in good company. Crisp, refreshing on the palate. Weakish though, nearing watery.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2015 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a small foamy white head that let minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and spritzy with a bit of lemon. The flavor was tangy, tart and sweet with lemon, sugar, yeast and a bit of cardboard. Medium length finish. Light body. Ok.

The colour for a blond/golden is pretty solid. Aroma is pretty soft/weak, however not necessarily a bad thing. Taste is a nice soft taste and isn’t too high on a traditional "beer" taste. Overall a very solid beer from mill St. For the price, this is definitly a solid beer choice.

This beer is a perfect example of why craft beer should be consumed over macro... So as long as it’s not skunked in the clear bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, fruity esthers and grainy. Taste is pretty much the same providing flavor and very little hop flavor and no bitterness but crisp like a blond ale should be with malt flavors. Nice summer session patio beer.

Despite being in a clear body I never got any skunk from this one. Taste of bread and hay with light grassy hops. A reasonable body with a sweeter aftertaste. I like the look of it in the clear bottle. Wouldn’t normally buy it, but it comes in the taster pack.

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear, pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is malt and grain. Flavour is malt, with mild hops and a dry, bitter finish. Light body, watery texture and average carbonation.

Clear gold pour, a finger of head. Not much to get excited about here....a slightly fruity, minimally hoppy ale. On the other hand, this was a welcome break from sleemans at the staff holiday party.

Golden pour, clear, with a tall white head. Slightly gingerbready nose. Otherwise nondescript and grainy. Very generic beer palate. Boring.
