Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

bottle. pours clear ruby copper orange with well retained light tan head. aromas of grains and big biscuit, nutty malts, light toffee and hints of citrusy grassy hop character. Hints of a musty, bread-like yeast character. Medium toffee malt forward body, light chocolate present, medium carbonation, chocolate toffee nuts linger through the crisp and lightly sweet nutty malt finish. Piney resinous Bitterness balanced with the nutty toffee grainy malt body, lingering through. Clean bready yeast profile.

On tap at Courtyard by Marriott downtown Toronto. Deep red copper colour with thin white lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is malty with slight bitterness. It's OK but not brilliant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A family favourite, served at my brother's wedding next to the brewery! A darker ale but not too dark. Not much head or lattice but a good bold flavour. I actually enjoy it best from the bottle. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

If youre from ontario you already had this and really dont need to read my review. A mildly interesting, lightly hopped ale that will neither offend or excite. Worth ordering when your other options are steamwhistle or bud.

From keg in a Toronto hotel, served so cold with a glass with ice on it! Just what I needed for an ale when it’s below freezing outside... So the review may be a bit harsh given the chill. Amber red in colour. Quite a malty background, some bitter grainy malt, then a fair load of hops. Tasted ok, maybe a little chemically and clunky. Was surprised to see how good the other reviews are, could retry in a more amenable setting at some point.
