COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

One of my favorite beers. This beer is brewed in Toronto, Canada and it’s a killer when fresh. Unique flavour and long aftertaste.

Pours a reddish deep copper with small white head leaving a nice sticky lace. Aromas of citrus and a nice malty mixture of pale malts and caramel. Great full mouth feel with the up front malt flavours then hit by a dry citrus finish that works well together. Fantastic beer.

341ml bottle.
Pours a clear dark amber with a large fluffy tan head. Leaves lots of lacing. Earthy aroma with hints of citrus, toffee and hops. Medium body with a sIlky and slick mouth feel. Taste is roasty and malty. A little chocolate coffee finish as it warms. Slight bitterness to balance it out. Nice beer.

This has been my favourite beer as of late. The bottle is a classic old school slender beer bottle. It pours quite dark with an off white fluffy head with good lacing. Aroma reveals a nutty maltiness and a lot of hops. The first sip reveals complex malts, supporting claims of four or five differents malts or whatever they’re claiming. But also lots of hops. This is primarily a hoppy beer.

Pours a clear reddish brown with a nice white head. Aroma is fairly hoppy, with a bit of an outdoorsy nature smell. Aroma also contains a small tinge of apricot. Flavor is a bit spicy, with fairly strong hops that were present in the aroma. Finishes a bit bitter, but in a quick, clean sort of way. Overall, a nice beer with some unique characteristics. One of my local favourites.

I tried this beer on May 13, 2008 at the "Elephant and Castle" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured a translucent reddish-brown colour with a half-inch creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was a combination or raosted malt, and hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with mild carbonation. The flavour was all about the hops. A nice bitter citrusy tang and a very good beer.

Very nice deep red, moderate lasting head. As always, a wonderful aroma of Cascade hop. Perfect amount of citrus and floral smell. Taste is just the right combination of bitter, but not stupidly so, and good malty sweetness. Palate is a nice dryish bitter, but perhaps could be a bit more solid overall. Still, as I tell everyone who asks me, this is the beer that everyone should be drinking, all the time, everywhere.

Great dark golden-red colour. Flavour has a nice smokiness, with a very present but not overwhelming bitterness. Very full-bodied and satisfying. The best Canadian beer I’ve tried so far. Highly Recommended!

Fairly strong hoppy taste with a slightly bitter finish. Clear amber colour with very little head (341 ml bottle). Overall a very solid amber ale.
