May 23, 2011 - on draught at the Toronto brewpub. Clear amber with a smallish fizzy white head. Not much aroma other than light grain and a bit of sharp ginger, maybe a little grassy. Taste follows - simple golden ale and ginger, maybe some honey - average body, crisp and well-carbonated, with a quick lightly spicy/tingly finish. Just okay and refreshing.

A blonde ale with a thick frothy and lacing white head. In aroma, herbal and grassy malt with light ginger notes. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with faint German hops, faint ginger, honey. Tasted at Arrow and Loon, August 26 2012.

Golden, bright, with nice lacing. Mild ginger, and really it’s more malty and cookieish overall.

Draft at brewery. Clear gold. Nice lasting head. Aroma of ginger snap, getting some cookie for sure--oats and molasses. Light on the palate, and nice for me, it's more ginger snap and cookie than straight spice. So, not bad for a ginger beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle pours a golden color with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is light ginger and a hint of grassy hops. Taste is malty sweet with a hint of caramel and a mild hoppy bitterness and light ginger on the finish. Light body and decent carbonation. What I liked about this beer was the subtleness of the ginger, as it did not detract from the beer itself. Nicely done.

355 ml bottle from LCBO. Slightly cloudy golden colour. Caramel aroma with a little grass and citrus. Not getting much ginger at all, but it’s there. Flavour pretty much same as aroma. Really nice malty backbone. Sweet and smooth and a little hop an ginger on the finish, which is fairly clean. Medium body. This is yummy, except a little underwhelming. Could easily have twice as much ginger, but it’s winter so maybe I was expecting more ginger snap than a refreshing summer hint-o-ginger. Still, the bottle says ginger. More ginger please! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Pours an amber/ginger colour with flecks of gold, good sized, longish lasting, off white head. Faint sweet ginger aroma. Taste is middle of the road, cereal malt, light, earthy hops, very light ginger on the finish. Palate was medium/light with decent carbo. Absolutely no ginger burn. Overall, it left me wanting more from this beer. Hardly enough ginger to bother. Underwhelming.
