| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 10, 2006 Standard macro appearance. Bottle’s not bad. Smell pretty standard macro - barely there. Flavor is offensive, strong corn or unpalatable malt without any hops balance. Not just bad, but bad for a bad category of beer. If this is what the folks drank in 1855, I’m surprised beer survived. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Mar 7, 2006 Noisy head formed and quickly faded just like soda. Clear, deep yellow hue. Nose was dusty and corny. Mouthfeel was fizzy with some weight to it. Malts were sweet (sugar water) and unexciting, with elements of popcorn and wet bread. Bitterness was mild; almost balancing, but not. Hops were stale, wet-tasting and herbal. Bleh. Can’t wait for the 200th anniversary, I tell ya. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 1, 2006 A bolder maltier version of Miller Lite, if there is such a thing. Looks like everything you would expect, has some mustard seed spiciness, and clean in the finish. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Poured a fairly rich golden color with a short head and scant lacing. Whisper of hoppiness in the mild aroma. A little more body than the regular High Life, some malt on the sweet side with a light spicy hoppiness and clean finish. Not bad but disappointing for a 150th anniversary brew-I doubt anybody got arrested at this party.
