The current style for this (pale lager) is wrong--it should be a spice/fruit/vegetable. What’s notable about this beer is how much the fruit dominates the flavor. In fact, my reaction is that it blurs the boundaries between wine cooler and beer. The sense of lager here is relatively low; much more I get the lime, especially in the finish. I like lime a lot, so it makes this beer much more drinkable than any regular pale lager. I think this one will prove a hit with some people (esp. women?) who have always been turned off by the regular flavor of the macro beers, such as Miller Genuine Draft.

Usually I would put more effort into a rating, write it down, work through the difficult numbers that would go into it. However, I found this beer to be in a league of its own. The kind of league that no human being with a better palate than a sophomore frat boy would care to join. The only word I’ve found to describe this tepid, inexhaustibly bad "brew" is: ugh.

This beer smells like a hair salon Hint of lime. Light yellow color. I hear it is intended to compete with Corona, but unlike Corona, this is undrinkable.

Ok...this is a tough one to rate. But I’m trying it so I might as well get a "tick" on RB, huh? So they claim it is a "Chelada Style"...lets see what Wikipedia has to say about Chelada. "The Chelada is a beverage that is created by adding the juice of one or two limes to a full glass of ice cubes and then pouring twelve ounces of a dark Mexican beer into the glass. The rim of the glass is typically salted."

So...first off this is not a dark Mexican beer at all. More like miller light or I guess maybe Corona. With a bunch of artificial lime juice...and hints of salt. But the thing is...if I had a huge burritto in front of me with a bunch of hot sauce, salsa and cheese all over it on a hot summer day. This beverage might actually be alright.

But...this is Rate Beer so I have to rate it as a "beer". So here we go:
Pours a a golden piss yellow with a medium creamy white head that yes...actually left some lacing. Aroma of lime juice and hints of some light pale lager in there. Flavors of lime, some salt...and yes some pale lager character...but not a whole lot hidden under all that lime. Again...I would drink this with a very spicy Mexican dish although I would prefer to go with a Rita. I would pick this over Corona though.

Bottle. Pretty much Miller Lite with what they say-- lime and salt. Refreshing early on, with a nice crisp lime underneath the light, crisp beer, but towards the end of the bottle the lime devolves into syruppy sweetness. Not great, but not horrible either-- I wouldn’t turn it down.

Had this right in the bottle, and didn’t really get a feel for aroma or appearance. As for the taste, I actually found it to be very drinkable and refreshing. The lime and salt do overpower the watered-down Miller Lite taste, and made this one better than I anticipated.
