| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 12, 2007 very light, easy to drink on a hot day, not a true "mexican" beer, too artificial, but not as much as Tequiza, which I found way too sweet for my taste. sfontain (508), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 1, 2008 Typical swill appearance with an unusually large, dish soap foam head; significant lacing when drunk quickly enough. Aroma of swill beer plus fake lime. Flavor exactly the same, but heavier on fake lime than the aroma is. Light, bubbly, fizzy mouthfeel. I’d rather take a Natty Light and squeeze in a wedge of lime by a longshot; at least then the lime would be real; plus, it would be half as expensive. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Shandy in a bottle. Not as bad as I expected, the Spanish do similar pre-mix beers. Slight Saccharine to it and would probably get a thumbs up with the girls.
Lime nose, slight green tinge to the colour, flavour is mainly lime which covers the regular corn flavours. Finish is slight lime too with little to no bittterness. I honestly expected worse, much worse. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Bottle, courtesy of buddies wife. Pours pale yellow with frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malt and very citrusy and lemon-lime. This stuff is like sprite beer. Flavor is more of the same, almost completely dominated by the lemon-lime tartness balanced with soda pop sweetness. Fortunately this one doesn’t share the same artificial and disgusting lime like presence that tequiza had but it is still overwhelming. It was refreshing though, however I’d never drink another as long as I live. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Bottle. So I have decided to start rating the cheaper more mass produced brews. Like a miller lite with some fake candy lime flavors. I hate to say it though it was pretty easy to drink the stuff. GarrettB (494), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Updated: Oct 15, 2007I spent approximately two weeks working at a nearby liquor store (which shall remain unnamed) and during that agonizing tenure as a cashier I saw many, many six and twelve packs of Miller’s gecko green novelty go across my counter. It was a very hot series of days, and the store was giving away flimsy Warsteiner glasses with each six pack, but most people seemed to be enamored by the idea of a lime-less Corona – a minimal effort hot summer beer to help the sweat glands cool the sultry drinker down. I walked home with a six pack that day knowing that I could take one bottle and the family would guzzle down the rest. Taking a seat outside in the hot noon sun I poured it into a standard pilsener glass and gave it a go. I was immediately reminded of a Dairy Queen Limeade – a staple of my youth. There is a definite outline of the standard pale lager modus operandi, with all the resplendent corn and buzzing carbonation, but there was also copious lime flavors. Problem was, Miller attached only the sweet parts of the lime and omitted the tangy, bitter and sour parts. In other words, they made a beer with a “citrus flavor” and omitted the citrus flavor. It seems to me that abjuring the focal point of one’s beer is not a poor brewing chpice. Without the tangy half of the lime this was nothing more than Lime candy melted in beer. It was refreshing on some level, but any cold liquid would do in its place. I was expecting a drink to transport me to Baja or the Caribbean, but the Miller Chill Chelado Style was nothing more than a trip to the local Walgreen’s for a six pack of Miller Light and a handful of lime sour patch kids. Customers ranted and raved, calling it the newest and best way to beat the heat, but for me this is nothing more than a marketing attempt to fill the niche Tequiza left. I hope said niche empties again quick. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA
