Bottle. Pours yellow with a thick head. Smells like lime and citrus. Watery body, very carbonated, actually somewhat refreshing. Tastes like lime soda. Not to offensive, especially because I was sipping from a glass my girlfriend poured and didn’t actually have to drink a whole bottle

Bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow and had a light semi frothy head, actually had good retention. Aroma of light lime. Flavor is light lime, slight detection of very light malt. Palate is very light bodied, very high carbonation. Over all it is refreshing during a hot Texas summer, like a cold glass of ice water with a lime. I have no reason to buy this again though.

Found this one bottled in Park Forest, Illinois. I guess I was expecting far worse (a gritty shandy, or something along those lines), so maybe that’s tainting my rating a bit. Poured a crystal clear, bubbly straw yellow with a bubbly white head, a bit skunky in the nose but nothing terribly unusual, and really tasted a lot like a regular Mexican lager, with the lime already added. That was about it.

First whiff is of public beach bathroom, heavy on urinal. This isn’t looking good. Interesting, taste(?). Some kind of cough drop lemony-lime flavor on top of carbonated pee-water. Stinker almost on level with Anheuser World Select.

Ok...this is a tough one to rate. But I’m trying it so I might as well get a "tick" on RB, huh? So they claim it is a "Chelada Style"...lets see what Wikipedia has to say about Chelada. "The Chelada is a beverage that is created by adding the juice of one or two limes to a full glass of ice cubes and then pouring twelve ounces of a dark Mexican beer into the glass. The rim of the glass is typically salted."

So...first off this is not a dark Mexican beer at all. More like miller light or I guess maybe Corona. With a bunch of artificial lime juice...and hints of salt. But the thing is...if I had a huge burritto in front of me with a bunch of hot sauce, salsa and cheese all over it on a hot summer day. This beverage might actually be alright.

But...this is Rate Beer so I have to rate it as a "beer". So here we go:
Pours a a golden piss yellow with a medium creamy white head that yes...actually left some lacing. Aroma of lime juice and hints of some light pale lager in there. Flavors of lime, some salt...and yes some pale lager character...but not a whole lot hidden under all that lime. Again...I would drink this with a very spicy Mexican dish although I would prefer to go with a Rita. I would pick this over Corona though.

12oz green bottle. VERY very light yellow translucent body (almost the color of water - really one of the lightest beers I’ve ever seen) with a thin white film. Smells prodominantly fruity - like natural lime flavor with a fair bit of salt too. Tastes sweet, like lime flavoring with a little salt in the background. Kind of reminds me of Sprite or Sierra Mist. Extremely light in body with a lot of carbonation. Relatively refreshing, though I have to say one review I’ve read was spot-on about this being "borderline malternative". Not horrible (though the salt flavor could be toned down a bit), but definitely not something I’ll be drinking of my own volition or on my own dime anytime soon.

Gross.... Cheap mexican style beer with some lime syrup in it. Overly sweet with bitter and unpleasing taste left over. Just disgusting.
