Metalhead (570), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA Jul 24, 2007 Single bottle at $1.29. Guess I’m more in the minority on this one and I generally hate macro swills. You’ve already read by others what it looked like
Here’s why I didn’t hate it. The aroma was a faint lime peel sorta beer = non offensive. It tasted like a cross between a better light beer and sprite,IMO = non offensive. I didn’t even notice the salt. Mine was gone in around 5 minutes so it didn’t suck. Tasted more like a soda than a beer. Certainly better than Miller lite. I’d drink another if it was free at a BBQ. I could see college kids drinkin this at beach party. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 24, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a very light golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a bubbly white ring. The beverage body is very high carbonated, almost a sparkling wine character. Aroma isvery faint and clean with some floral notes and lime zest. Taste is highly carbonated, light bodied with a light white bread and sea salt flavors. Finish is very gritty, no bitterness but a slight lime peel aftertaste. Olé, at least I can say I had this once. riversideAK (2650), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 23, 2007 Aroma of lime soda or lime seltzer like Canadian Clearly. A pale yellow gold color with extreme seltzer carbonation and a large fluffy white head. Flavor is artificial lime, sea water, adjuncts and gross malt. This beer finishes bad. This beer is bad. djdarkFIN (2), Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jul 23, 2007 I was shocked when friends recommended it. And I was flabbergasted when I actually enjoyed it. Hmm... the addition of lime and salt to disguise the taste of cheap macro-style light lager. Not something to drink haphazardly, but the flavors would pair well with fajitas or Japanese teppanyaki.... RAYBOY01 (1820), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 23, 2007 The bottle label states this is a chelada-style beer. Chelada is a DARK Mexican beer poured over a 12oz glass of ice, with the juice of a couple of limes, and salt on the rim. Instead I get a bottle of Miller Lite with a squeeze of not very fresh-tasting lime wedge. Close enough. Very cheap pale lager characteristics and lime concentrate. Limes, by the way, were added originally to hide the skunked hop profile of cheap Mexican pale lagers stored in clear bottles in tropical climates. MacDaddyOJake (274), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 23, 2007 Gross.... Cheap mexican style beer with some lime syrup in it. Overly sweet with bitter and unpleasing taste left over. Just disgusting. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA Jul 23, 2007 Really we can rate this, Ok take miller lite pour just a touch of roses lime syrup inside a drop of brackish water an bam you have a chill. Hmm this or tequiza what was worse, please BMC’s quit ruining your already lame beers, wtih artifical flavors, hey you know what just start doing wine coolers we could have a whole line up of miller lite infused wine coolers. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2007 12 oz bottle. This is the kind of beer you drink from a bottle, preferably at a BBQ. Smelled of fake citrus, supposedly natural. Tasted like a forced "citrusized" flavor. Not good at all. Another attempt by a BMC to take over the whole market.
