The word “genuine” in MGD gives beer drinkers the impression that this is the “real deal” when it comes to beer. This is one of the top-10 domestic brands and it is Miller’s most popular full-caloried beer. That said... There is very little hop flavoring, no bitterness, and almost nothing in the finish that makes you stand up and take notice of what you just drank. Tastes like corn grits are used in the brewing.

Looks like piss, smells like piss, but you can buy enough with 10 bucks to not care. And that’s the American way.

I do detect a slight malt taste and hop bitterness. however, this beer is made for mass consumption and works well especially when ice cold.

*Re-Rate* Ok, now that I’ve been around the block, I wanted to get back to this one. This brew pours a clear light golden straw. The mostly diminishing frothy white head is average sized with fair lacing. The moderate nose is mostly hoppy with perfumed grass, citrus, spruce and resin. Also detected are traces of straw, hay, soap, and a white wine like quality. Let it be said that I don’t care for the nose of nearly all Am Standards, this being no exception. The light flavor is slightly unbalanced toward sweeness, but has a pleasent nutty yeasty finish if short. The light body is watery with lively carbonation, and has a light astringency to the finish. Bland. *Original Rate 2/24/02 *This is pretty decent mass production beer IMO. Of course slightly above average qualifies in that category. I’d consider myself a snob if I turned my nose up on this one.

Flavor is OK but stays too long with a very typical simple flavor.

Disgusting crystal clear yellow color. Slight malt and a decent bitterness in the flavor. Average white head with large bubbles. Archtypical American macro.
