Excellent light beer, flavours of strong hops, slightly sweet but crisp after taste. Watery, but not ’flat’ almost starchy, creamy texture. Very good balance.

Not too bad... for an american Lager. Watery taste, very light color but OK if served cold

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Single clear bottle from Liquor Depot, served in a footed lager glass. Pours a light golden straw hue with moderate carbonation and a pearly, milk-white head that retains a little longer than most light lagers, leaving thick lace webs. (The larger of the bubbles pop so that the cap begins to show tunnels and crevices before it disappears.) Aroma: the usual complement of sweet cereals, a bit husky and dusty. Flavor: sour creamed corn and sweet grains, a bit foul. Thin, slick texture and a standard dry finish. Due to the high visibility of its uglier characteristics, I rate MGD lower than most other big-name adjunct light lagers. Definitely best experienced as a commercial only, watching draft taps spewing out gallons of sparkling, golden nectar and rafts of snow-white froth in slo-mo.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Pale straw color with thin white head. Weak beer aroma. Thin malt flavor with no noticeable hop presence. High Life is $0.50 cheaper for a six-pack and slightly better.

A great beer, when canned, for all day ocean fishing trips. Very smooth and crisp. Several off quality batches have occurred over the years having a metallic off flavor.

Not a good beer at all. Even for the style. If you can’t find a nice Czech or German then go with high life.

1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330ml bottle, BB April 2015, 4.7% at a BYOB. Pale yellow, clear, very highly sparkling, big foamy white head. Aroma is soft papery malt. Body is medium, slightly foamy, very soft carbonation. Taste is watery malt, very mild. Pretty much the same flavour as water, with a hint of sweetness towards the finish. Wow. I think that some pale lagers can get a bit of a hard time on Ratebeer and can get harsh scores ... but, if anything, this one is over-rated. Bad.

Just your average Pale Lager. Pours straw yellow with white head. Nothing to write home about but good on a hot day or paying $12 at the arena

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Straw pale body with low to none white head. Aroma is grainy, clean, hay. Taste has plastic sweetness, no real bitterness, flat palate. Well, pretty bad. Body is watery, high carbonation.
