When I think of American Pilsner - Light, I think of nothing. And, this beer here explemfies nothing! It has more carbonation then water, more alcohol then water, and somehow goes down smoother in a beer bong then water. What an amazing beer! And, for less then $0.50 a can in a case? Why not buy two?!

Bottle. Light golden color with an actually pretty decent head. Aroma, water a tad of grains. Taste water, a tad of grains. Is this beer?

Bottle out with family from backlog notes. Pours a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor are grainy malts and corn with not much else. I guess it serves a purpose, but generally I would pass.

Good grief, Iíve never said anything on this until now. Okay, well, hereís my take.
This has been poured more than enough times in pint glasses and pilseners, did anything change? Ha, nada, and hereís the rest.
The appearance was a super light yellow color with rapidly rising carbonated bubbles trying to fill a rapidly dissipating white bubbly head. There wasnít any lacing.
The smell, well, uh...perhaps some grassy tones and thatís about it.
The taste, well...uh...gee weez, honestly, thereís just some sweetness, and as many times Iíve had this, I have no idea what that sweetness actually is. Donít ask me, I didnít make it.
On the palate, well, another "exceptionally light" beer that shows more than enough of a good sessionable quality about it.
Overall, well, if anything it fits the style. Did I like it? Hmmm...not exactly, its one of those beers I think Iíd rather have if I was trying to lose weight and still try to fit in with everyone else. Other than that, this one actually doesnít do anything for me.

The light version of the High Life, just a lighter version if thatís possible. Mainly just grain on this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle fresh from the source. The beer is actually surprisingly flavorful when warmer than the flavorless ice cold weíre all accustomed to. A nice vibrant golden body with champagne like carbonation and a spotty lacing atop a starch white head. Aroma of corn and grass. Clean all around. Much preferable to Miller Lite. Flavor is clean corn grist and subtle barley. Super easy drinking. I donít understand the hate on this beer. I have drank many a craft beer that werenít made with the care this has undergone. Clean palate that still has a substantial feel.

16 oz. can:
Clear gold with a tall, frothy white head.
Scent is slightly grainy, a little cornflake.
Taste is barley and water malt.
I think Iíll just say the word, "innocuous" and leave it at that.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Pours a wan clear yellow, thin white head. Aroma is malty and barely noticeable. Flavor is slightly malty, scarcely distinguishable from water. Texture has a little fizz, but is hardly like beer at all. No wonder my father called it "Swiller Low Life."

This is not that far off from High Life. It loses some of the cereal quality of its parent. The beer is exceptionally light and a little too thin. It serves to wash down a pizza.
