Miller High Life, the "champagne of beers," dates to 1903. Miller High Life is a classic American-style lager recognized for its consistently crisp, smooth taste and iconic clear-glass bottle. Miller High Life embraces its rich heritage and is known by its drinkers as an authentic, unpretentious beer. As the best beer value in America, we encourage beer drinkers to "Take Back the High Life."

O.K., this is a re-rate. Tried it again the other night out of a very cold longneck bottle alongside a bottle of Busch beer (I was slummin. Iíll tell you what. Busch might not be good beer, but it is a notch above this. The High Life still tasted bad to me. It has a weird chemical-type aftertaste and in general it is not good beer. To each his own. If you like it fine. Do I aspire to drink more of the High Life? No. This is more like Low Life.

Like PBR and Old Mil, this is a swillin beer with that rises above th others. Not really due to taste (it has taste?), but due to its nostalgic place atop of what beer has been in America before the micro revolution.

As a fruity punk who likes imports and micros, I tried living the HIGH LIFE but discovered that living the HIGH LIFE really means occasionally being able to raise your head from the gutter. Granted, this is a better macro than most of the stuff out there, as it actually has something resembling a flavor, but itís still by and large a tasteless, urine-colored beverage best buried under a large rock and left alone for many, many years.
