Artillery (17), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA Aug 23, 2008 Way to go again, when I heard they were comeing out with this I thought no way will it be good. Good job arventresca (334), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark gold. Nice ale smell. Taste like a real beer which is saying something. For what it is, a lite beer, it is very good. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA May 12, 2008 Nice blonde color with a slight white head that dissipates rather fast. Nose is slight, slight malt hidden by cooked corn. Maltier flavor than any light beer I’ve tried, witha tinge toward caramel flavor. Dry finish, leaving a bit more to be desired. Overall, a very good alternative to regular Miller Lite. My "favorite" of the Lite Brewer’s Collection. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA Jan 30, 2008 Pours a clear deep golden hue, with a decent sized, but quickely dissapearing rocky white head. Lots of bubblegum sweetness on the nose with a hint of an almost lager like grassy yeaty character. Very unoffensive, but uninspired palate with a hint of citrus, sweet roasted malt and a touch of floral hops on the finish. These are not terrible, but are definatly an attempt at the Miller Lite drinker of the world and not RB’ers. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Apr 6, 2008 bottle from bevmo. Clear golden with no head. Wheat bread and malt aroma and taste. Not very good. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Apr 8, 2008 Bottle from Cellars St. Paul-Larpenteur. Not much aroma to speak of; some fresh roasted malt. Clear dark gold, nearly amber. Darker in color than most "blondes" I’ve had. I was surprised when I read that this brew was intended to compete with Bass Ale, since it’s supposedly a blonde. Doesn’t really have that light hop that Bass has. This isn’t much different than the Lite Amber; perhaps a little less strong in the malt aspect. Probably better than regular miller lite, but this one begs for more flavor. From a flavor perspective, this brew has the least of the 3 brews in the ML Brewers Collection. The Wheat is the best. Now that I’ve tried them all I have a couple of conclusions: 1) All 3 are solid light beers and among the best light beers (soon to be) readily available, 2) It is really hard to inject flavor into beer while keeping the calorie count low and the ML Brewers Collection does little to dispel that truism, and 3)I’ll never get back the $4.77 I spent on one bottle of each although the fact that it was during the test market stage when few others had done so was somewhat worth it. hopdog (5525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 23, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with ughsmash - thanks! Poured a meidum and clear golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of stronger grains with breadiness and citrus. Tastes of mainly grains. For what it is - a Miller Lite beer- this one was kinda drinkable. Thinner body and tastes though. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 27, 2008 Pale gold pour with off-white head. Aroma is pale malt, mild honey notes, perhaps a bit of citrus. Tastes watery, with some pale malt and honey flavors, but not enough flavor or balance to make any meaningful impact on me.
