If your going to have a macrobrew, PLEASE get labatt’s or heineken. This beer has NO FLAVOR whatsoever, and in my opinion, the worst of the macrobrews. Butters (1645), Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jun 20, 2008 Draft. Pours slightly darker straw than most piss macros with good white head. Aroma of corn and a little grainy. Flavor was not THAT bad. I actually think if I prefer this light beer over the other big boys. swoopjones (1897), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jun 18, 2008 12oz bottle from Publix Supermarkets (Tampa). Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma is sour bitterness with notes of wet, dirty towel. Flavor is watery, slightly bitter, empty and nearly devoid of detectable flavor with a quick, watery finish. This beer is best as a thirst quencher on a hot summer day, but worth little else in our opinion. machfive55 (229), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA

Anyhow, its been awhile since I had this beer so I had to approach it objectively.
It has an aroma of beer, but not a very pleasing aroma. Smelled skunky to me, but the beer was not bad.
There was a weak carbonation, and the beer is watery leaving almost no appealing palate.
Flavor is of a watered down pilsner, little bitterness or hop character to be found. Some adjunct flavor persists, possibly rice used as an adjunct?
I’m not a connosoir of the style, so I’m not sure why this beer won at the world beer cup several times. Surely there must be better examples of this style.
I could see this as being a session beer, but not for me as I just could not drink more than one at a sitting. It just did not appeal to me at all.
