foreignpolicy (17), USA Aug 19, 2007 The fact that they claim to be ’carefully crafted,’ using ’the finest ingredients and brewing techniques’ makes an anemic, forgettable, but cheap beer all the more offensive. And now they claim to win awards. At what festival?
rodneykm (109), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Aug 18, 2007 Updated: Jan 25, 2008I had some water the other day that had more flavor than this did. It is in line w/ the other crap mass produced american beer like bud and coors lite. just not quite as bad as bud lite. robbyf (19), Michigan, USA Aug 18, 2007 Where’s the hops? Where’s the flavor? On the other hand, hands down much superior to Bud Light, and quite a bit better than Coors Light, when compared to the most common of the macro light brews. If I absolutely have no choice other than to drink a mass-produced light beer, this is the least-offensive of the bunch. Half-way decent if it’s very , very cold and I’m very very hot and thirsty. Clean finish is about the only positive I’ll say about it. MoDog (910), Griffith, Indiana, USA Aug 18, 2007 On tap, and served in a 23oz lager glass. This beer poured a crystal clear golden color with a one-finger thick foamy white head that quickly disappeared. No lace. The aroma was made up of faint notes of grain and sweet malt. The flavor was a bit light and watery. Not very interesting. The mouthfeel was light-bodied with artificial carbonation. Miller’s ad campaign got it half right. It was less filling, but I must have missed the great taste they talk about. MaliMisho (208), East Meadow, New York, USA Aug 17, 2007 I can’t tell the difference between pale lagers, they are all the same, you can check my ratings for the other pale lagers if you want more comments on this one. jacobduley (2), Virginia, USA does not count Aug 17, 2007 Everybody knows what to expect from the big no-taste American light beers. however, When I’m in the mood to pound some beers, I’ll always choose Miller Light. It has more flavor than Bud light and coors light. It has a very clean finish. Pwn3d (1042), Manhattan, New York, USA Aug 16, 2007 12 oz can. standard pale lager, with aroma, body, and taste somewhere below coors/bud but above keystone/busch. Awful for beerpong. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 15, 2007 12-Aug-07 (12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) As low-calorie pale lagers go, Miller Lite isn’t awful, but like most others, it’s just very thin on flavor and completely lacking in the hops department. There’s a slight honey sweetness in the attack, but that fades off the palate in the evolution for a dry and papery finish. Body is thin and watery too, of course, but the lively carbonation helps to distract the palate somewhat. The nose is moderately sweet with a suggestion of honeyed bread, but the obvious aroma is of straw and paper, basically, that cheap, adjuncty beer aroma. Pale straw in color with perfect clarity and a few dozen streams of large carbonation bubbles, but the white head pours fairly small and then quickly fizzles to a wide ring. Overall, this would be palatable, except for the unpleasant finish, but an ice-cold Miller Lite might still hit the spot on a really hot day. But there are much better Light beers out there from craft brewers, so there’s really no reason to purchase this one in particular unless you’re dirt poor.
