The standard in the industry for a light pale lager leaves me scratching my head. How can so many people think this is good. And to top it off I once paid $7 at a ballgame for this crap.

Of all the light american beers, this one is my favorite. If I need a great session beer, better go with one that "tastes great, and is less filling!"

Hmm... I have to admit that I’m being a bit liberal in my rating and I don’t feel this particular beer is worth anything less than a 1. All things considered, when it comes to a domestic pale lager, this isn’t a terrible beer, it’s just a terrible beer style that many of us here on RB.com despise. It’s an extremely popular beer outside of the website and a decent version of a pale lager. That all being said, this is not a type of beer I enjoy on the special days. It has no appetizing aroma or color, and the head is about the fakest looking one I’ve seen on a beer. I wish I could comment on the malt or hop characteristics of this one but I just can’t decipher them when the everpresent taste of acetone covers my mouth. In addition to that, I have a constant feeling that this beer is actually detrimental to my health. It’s a shame that SABMiller produces such concoctions, when you think of the other products in it’s portfolio (Magnum, High Life, 1855, etc). This beer may have worked for the 19th century, but come on, it’s time people move on to much better beers to enjoy.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2008 Pale yellow, little to no head. Smelled absolutely awful. Reminds me of the Homer Simpson’s line, "and not just monkey feces!" I couldn’t believe what I smelled, so I opened another, and it was still there. No flavor, which means no bad flavor. Watery, no carbonation, just awful. But not as bad as Bud Light.

Sad to make this the first rating, but it’s all that’s in the house. Really inadequate drink. The smell just reminds you of frat parties or beer pong. If all you’re doing are those things, this is an alright cheep beer, but you’ll not shake it all night. The color is very golden, almost pretends to look nice. It’s not the worst beer in the world, in for nothing else but for the price if you need to get beer for a bad party.

This is a Good beer on sale . if you dont care about taste . Drink this in excess , then you wont care .

Bottle: Ugh. The only thing available before the cooler was restocked. Just about the only reason I even opened was the bottle was to get this rating out of the way. Way too watery, very little flavor, dry with a strange sweetness. Not enjoyable. The fact that it takes me much less time to drink a 10 - 12%+ alcohol beer really says something. The only reason this doesn’t get a .5 is that I’m sure there is something worse out there.

i love this beer great flavor great after taste and you can drink it all night long and not get sick of it. Excellend beer I love lite beer its my favorite beer.
