Witbier with fruit, more specifically mirabel, a kind of small plum. Soft and mild, wheaty sourishness, the fruit not overpowering or overtly sweet, little coriander. I kind of like its subtlety, though it is not my favorite style.

I don’t know whether this should be labeled as fruit beer. It’s a standard Belgian witbier, with quite a lot of added fruit, but the basis is a witbier.

It’s not really a Christmas Tasting in Odense. Pale yellow with a small white head. Fruity aroma with a perfumed spiced note. Sweet with a fruity tart note, lots of mirabelle.

29/X/12 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ Erwin’s place - BB: no markings to indicate date (2012-1219) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!
Cloudy pale milky yellow beer, big irregular creamy head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet sugary, floral, yeast, bit soapy, freshly cut grass. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet start, fruity, a sour touch, green apple skin, bit yeasty character. Aftertaste: green apples, little sour, bitter, yeasty touch, lemony. Is this beer with apples? (looked it up, apparently it’s with plums, which explains the sour touch)

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, Nr Belgium Fri 27th April consumed at home Tues 1st May 2012 Pours glowing yolk gold with white head, medium carbonation. Tangy with a fizziness in the mouth, lightly fruity and the plums do show offering a slight sweet juicy but then tangy edge. I actually don’t mind this. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2
