Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Surprisingly hoppy, earthy light brown Belgian.
I like:
Multi-faceted. Again the Millevertus yeast takes many different directions at once, heading through spicy tartness as much as bready, earthy mustiness. It feels clean though and attenuated enough despite its toasty chocolate flavours and anisey, clovey nuances.
I dislike:
Not very polished. Breaking carbonation.

Slightly hazy dark brown, thin head. Coffee liquorice aroma - strong burnt direction. Raw burnt malt taste, dense and sticky, but some nuttiness lightens it. Soft chocolatey finish, liquorice too. DownsouthGav (599), Greater London, England Jan 3, 2008 Bottle from Delerium Cafe, Brussels. Fruity nose, pours a cloudy caramel beer with visible sediment, big white foam head, taste is spicy, sweet, some alcohol. A touch thin. Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England Jan 3, 2008 Bottle, Delirium Cafe, Brussels Dec ’07. Amber murky colour with lively frothy head. Aroma is spicy / malty / caramel. Taste is toffee / malts / citrus like fruitiness. Finish is decent with a nice balance. Drinkable. Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England Dec 26, 2007 A Sim rate (bottle from Kris Wines): So so malty and very alcoholic in the aroma. Almost brandy-like. Great lace and decent head. Murky amber colour. Way too malty in the flavour. Grainy, like a way over-the-top Triple Karmeliet. So not subtle.
