Ruikt chocolade, koffie, herfstfruit, beetje vanille. Smaakt zoetzuur, chocolade, iets bitter, fruit. Iets bitter.

(Millevertus La Douce Vertus) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a small tulip, ABV 7% Deep red brown colour on the boy, good sized tan head on top, with good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma is full of milky chocolate, very good! Dark fruits are rising after some time while the chocolate falls back. Taste of toasted malts, chocolate, red and dark fruits. Light alcohol touch, caramel, molasses. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Medium body, nicely carbonated. A bit sticky on the palate. Very good, pleasant surprise. And another belgian brewery to keep an eye on.

Alengrin (2813) - BELGIUM - AUG 13, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2014 Also tasted under its initial name Double Brunette. Winter ale with light beige, stable, sticky head and warm reddish brown colour, misty. Aroma of pear, chocolate, figues, dates, iron, cloves, celery, honey, hazelnuts. Rather neutral onset, faint sweetness becoming a bit stronger in the middle, caramel- and bit nut-like maltiness, mild herbal hoppiness of short duration in the finish. An okay dubbel, all in all.
