La seule bière dont la recette s’enrichit chaque année à travers sa version « Noël », des touches évolutives dont on ne retient que le meilleur pour que notre Douce reste ronde et voluptueuse. Composée de 4 malts et 4 houblons, l’arôme qu’on retient est avant tout malté. Un goût torréfié associé à une saveur fumée. Un houblonnage léger mais bien présent grâce à son houblon américain.

A small taste from a friend (bottle) @ Bier-Bier. Pours dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet malts. Flavor is pretty similar. Decent.

Nez: Malté, pruneau Bouche: Maltée, biscuitée, caramel, pruneau, réglisse Nez plaisant. Attaque maltée à laquelle vient s’allier le fruitée pour finir sur une touche de réglisse mais qui reste sur la longueur avec un sécheresse dans le final.

33 cl bottle from Drink d’Annevoie, BE. Brown amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma: malty, roasted, dark spices, caramel/brown sugar. Flavor: lightly sweet with a long light bitter and warming finish. Medium body, oily with a soft carbonation. Nothing extraordinary, but nice label ! ;-)

UPDATED: APR 22, 2015 Dark ruby. Mahogany. Beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, brown sugar and toffee. A bit too fizzy. Dry moutfeel. Taste of toast, roasted nuts and toffee. Medium bitterness.

Bottle 330 ml at home. Appearance: Deep red brown, with a good sized tanned head on top, with a good retention, leaving medium lacing. Aroma: Milk chocolate, Red and dark fruits Taste: Toasted malts, chocolate, moderate sweet red and dark fruits, caramel, molasses. Mildl bitter aftertaste. Medium body, nicely carbonated. A bit sticky. . Quite Good.

(Millevertus La Douce Vertus) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a small tulip, ABV 7% Deep red brown colour on the boy, good sized tan head on top, with good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma is full of milky chocolate, very good! Dark fruits are rising after some time while the chocolate falls back. Taste of toasted malts, chocolate, red and dark fruits. Light alcohol touch, caramel, molasses. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Medium body, nicely carbonated. A bit sticky on the palate. Very good, pleasant surprise. And another belgian brewery to keep an eye on.
