Bottle at Delirium Café, Brussels. Cloudy amber with a medium head. Fruity caramel aroma. Sweet fudge mixed with fruit, hints of berries, still a dry finish. Medium body. Quite nice, a little on the sweet side, but hides her strength well.

Objectively speaking: Clean and rather standard Belgian amber ale.
I like: Fair supporting earthy, leafy hops. Fruity and toasty flavour profile is cohesive. Every ingredient contributes and none dominated. Fairly full-bodied for its level of bitterness.
I dislike: Aggressive carbonation. Too warming to be refreshing.

Bottle: Poured a murky orange brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is very spicy and citrus, but there is also a caramel to it. The smell really makes me interested. The taste is very peppery with lots of burn. There is that bitter finish.

Bottle 75cl @ <a href=http://ratebeer.com/events-detail.asp?eventID=6803 target=_new> Zythos Bier Festival 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Light unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grass, citrus, notes of toffee and butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to ’medium to full’, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (020308)
