COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Guy Ness père pas plus que son fils, ils veulent tous Mac Vertus par-dessus stout. Un stout léger bien équilibré relevé d’une amertume corsée de houblons anglais et américains. Certains la classent dans la catégorie des scotchs

Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and some roasted malt, light hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and light roasted malt. Finish is average, malty and dryish, some roasted malt and light coffee, light (bit sharp) hoppyness. OK dryish stout with roastiness - could use more body.

330ml bottle. Cloudy dark brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, minimally lacing, off-white head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, spicy, salty, notes of pine, coniferes, marjoram. Taste is dry, roasty, salty, spicy; lasting bitter finish with hints of coffee. Strong dry and roasty character with no vestige of sweetness - excellent!

Countbeer (4065) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 8, 2012
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized vast and pretty slow disappearing light brown nutty head on top of a dark brown to black colored beer with ruby tints. Smell is pretty nice: some coffee, roasted wood, liquorice wood, roasted barleys, roasted grains, some hops, hint of gass and light hop soap notes. Taste is also pretty nice, considering how tasty this is with such a low alcohol percentage: some light coffee and coffee toast, some good bitters, grass, roasted barley malts, some toasted barley and roasted wood notes, light dry, caramel, some light toffee notes, barley spices, even some hop tones. Hop and coffee/roasted malt bitters. Aftertaste is grass, roast, light dry and bitter. Low to medium carbo, soft creamy light dry mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture. Very nice beer!

Vaiz (3149) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2012
Bottle. Black pour, huge rocky light tan head. Aroma is roasty, candi sugar, bready yeast and nuts. Flavor is quite sweet caramel, chocolate and yeasty. Somewhat spiced. A bit too Belgian, but I can’t say I didn’t know.

Swaroga (1110) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 6, 2012
33cl bottle. Dark brown with tanned medium head. Nose : tart, coffee with aromatic hops ; mostly citrus and pine. Sip : Medium body with creamy and fluffy texture. Well carbonated. Dry start, burned toast with coffee flavor mixed with strongly aromatic hops. The aftertaste is dry and bitter. I enjoy this one because it’s low alcohol and refreshing, it’s well hopped and it looks like and tastes like a decent stout. Another well done for this brewery.
