COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle@Home. Chocolate and blueberries aroma. Opaque, beige firm head, good lace. Malty, chocolate, hints of cola, pretty bitter and unexpected finish. Creamy yet a little thin. Bit unbalanced.

Dark brown cloudy body with some yeast particles. Head is minimal and disappears quickly. Sweet aroma, fruity, some honey also noticeable. Tastes suprisingly well. Malty, some roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Bitterness is rather low, but nice and long lasting. It doesn’t look like stout, doesn’t smell like and also taste like a stout, but it’s very nice belgian intepretation of this style.

Bottle. Black. Dark nose with somewhat strong currants, dark berries and roasty malts, chocolate. Lightish body. Black berry fruity, dark roasty malts. Nice balance, some licorice. Nice drinker. The currant nose surprised me, this is a lot more berry- like than most of the stouts.

Bottled at Frape. Color is dark brown with a thick dark brown head. Nose is dark chiocolate and roasted malt. The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, and heavy grains. The flavor is thick sweet with chocolate, roasted malt and a roasted bitter finish. Too thin for its kind.

Vacation 2013 @ Virton, Belgium. 33 cl. bottle @ the bungalow, bought @ the local farmers market.

Black with an offwhite head. Hoppy fruity aroma. Strong roasted malts with heavy hops. Good hoppy stout.

33cl Bottle taken in De Bierboom, Brugge on 23rd Sep 2013. Dark chestnut in colour with a good solid beige crown. Burnt malts attack your senses and that almost sums up the brew. No hop content to be found, but this isn’t a sweet stout, the bitter, over roasted malts see to that. I’ve had a lot worse Stouts and a lot better, but this beer sits above average for it’s style and I enjoyed it as Rudy and I chatted about beery stuff, like we always do when I visit his emporium.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Reddish-brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some toffee and grass notes. The flavor has a lot of toffee, smoke, grass and dirt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
