Medium to bigger sized vast and pretty slow disappearing light brown nutty head on top of a dark brown to black colored beer with ruby tints.
Smell is pretty nice: some coffee, roasted wood, liquorice wood, roasted barleys, roasted grains, some hops, hint of gass and light hop soap notes.
Taste is also pretty nice, considering how tasty this is with such a low alcohol percentage: some light coffee and coffee toast, some good bitters, grass, roasted barley malts, some toasted barley and roasted wood notes, light dry, caramel, some light toffee notes, barley spices, even some hop tones. Hop and coffee/roasted malt bitters.
Aftertaste is grass, roast, light dry and bitter.
Low to medium carbo, soft creamy light dry mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture.
Very nice beer!

Mild nose of chocolate and hops. Pale brown head. Hazy reddish brown color. Dry malty roasty and bitter taste. At the end hop bitterness.

Bottle. Pours deep red - almost black, with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Interresting dry taste of roasted malts, caramel and burned wood? This beer is surprisingly very stouty for a Belgian beer, with a long bitter and dry aftertaste. Quite good, actually. Recommended if you want a mild stout that is different from all the boring mass-market ones. ;-)

Bottle 33 cl. Pours brown in color with a massive frothy beige head. Grassy hops, coffee and roasted malts in aroma. Burnt wood in taste, some roasted coffee and light grassy notes as well. Dry. Some ash in aftertaste.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Délices et Caprices. Murky brownish with a tanned head. Nose is lovely & beats the taste but that just might be because I got the more yeasty parts. Smell is full sweet malts, toffee, quite sugary with brown sugar and sweet soft dark fruits. Taste is initially sweet but with a lingering bitter aftertaste, bitter leaves, overripe fruits, bitter coffee grounds and light sour fruits, beginning is brief and still the sweet malts, toffee, brown sugar etc. Reasonably full for the ABV.

Pours a dark brown colour with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, brown sugar, coffee and bread. Flavour of strong toasted bread, nuts, syrup, floral hops and ash. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, malty, bitter finish. Good.
