3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown cloudy body with some yeast particles. Head is minimal and disappears quickly. Sweet aroma, fruity, some honey also noticeable. Tastes suprisingly well. Malty, some roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Bitterness is rather low, but nice and long lasting. It doesn’t look like stout, doesn’t smell like and also taste like a stout, but it’s very nice belgian intepretation of this style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Black. Dark nose with somewhat strong currants, dark berries and roasty malts, chocolate. Lightish body. Black berry fruity, dark roasty malts. Nice balance, some licorice. Nice drinker. The currant nose surprised me, this is a lot more berry- like than most of the stouts.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled at Frape. Color is dark brown with a thick dark brown head. Nose is dark chiocolate and roasted malt. The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, and heavy grains. The flavor is thick sweet with chocolate, roasted malt and a roasted bitter finish. Too thin for its kind.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl Bottle taken in De Bierboom, Brugge on 23rd Sep 2013.
Dark chestnut in colour with a good solid beige crown.
Burnt malts attack your senses and that almost sums up the brew. No hop content to be found, but this isn’t a sweet stout, the bitter, over roasted malts see to that.
I’ve had a lot worse Stouts and a lot better, but this beer sits above average for it’s style and I enjoyed it as Rudy and I chatted about beery stuff, like we always do when I visit his emporium.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Reddish-brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some toffee and grass notes. The flavor has a lot of toffee, smoke, grass and dirt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I picked this up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium, consumed at home in the garden in company of Loz and Isobel Sunday 11th August 2013 Dark brown murky in fact, large light brown head, tasty stout in fact tastier and better than I expected. A hint of sweet liquorice and a good malty backbone, yes not bad at all. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brune très foncée, effervescence moyenne, col brun clair. Malts caramel-café quasi-brûlés et de la réglisse au goût, quelques petites notes de fruits au nez. Trop peu de nuances à mon goût.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours clear dark ruby with a small off-white head. Weak peated aroma, caramel. Taste is weak peated, shy tar, liquorice and caramel. Dry lingering finish. Good, especially for the low abv.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen1. Beautiful deep ruby colour, large beige head. Very nice malty aroma with caramel and mild roasty notes. Malty flavour too, but not very sweet, with roasty and smokey notes, and a decent hoppy and roasty bitterness in the finish.
