Alengrin (2464) - BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2014
Light brown beer with sticky, off-white head and bright bronze colour. Aroma of ripe pear, chocolate cake, bread, pepper, nutmeg; neutral onset, then becoming more caramelly, some dark fruits, light roasted bitterness and mild but spicy hops in the finish. Dryer and fuller than what you’d expect from a beer of only 3.5% ABV.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Barley Legal Tasting Room. Thanks to Kraddel! GUSHER. Red amber, med. head. Smells of grains, herbal, bitter berries & metallic. Tastes of plastic, grains, light smoke, gravy, herbal, sweet plastic. Bit thin, lots of taste for the ABV but the taste itself is another story….

Big head, medium head holding. Very nice coppery red colour and completely clear. The nose conceals a coppery smell, malty, dry and slight sugar. The taste renders malts and cereals with a very slight touch of Hops at the end. This beer sure surprises the drinker with its nice copper colour but less with the taste. Not a bad beer but definitly not my favourite Grosses bulles, gros bullage. Tenue moyenne. Belle couleur rouge cuivre. Claire.

This smoky beer comes off as bitter and sour. While it is supposed to be complex it tastes more like like the beer has gone off.

Amber brown, small brown head. nose: grain, bit unfresh, cheese, malt. taste: malt, dry, slightly bitter touch. wattery body. Refreshing, okey beer, nose could do better.

Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

ruigo (1270) - PORTUGAL - JAN 25, 2014
Shared a 33cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours a clear dark brown colur with a off-white lacing. Aroma has malt, caramel and grass. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a quick, smoked and bitter finish. Overall, a nice beer with something strange and a bit unbalanced.
