COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ungstrup (29224) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2012
Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of flowers, malt, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of flowers, fruits, malt, and spices - safran, leading to a dry finish. Intense.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear golden with a small off-white head. Horrible chemical, phenollic aroma. Medium body, again the most horrible chemical accents and a rough, crude bitter finish. What a mess. 230212

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Hazy amber, mid sized head. Big time saffron aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Saffron lingers in the finish.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Light minerals. Predictably soapy saffron. Dry finish. Bleugh! Saffron could possibly work in a beer but never more than a pinch!

Bottle from Malting Pot, Brussels
Hazy light amber color with generous head. Very nice aroma of saffron, powerful. Good ale, with mild saffron flavor, solid Belgian brew with the required moderate sweetness for this spice.
The saffron is more evident in the aroma, and overall this is a good beer.

Bottle @ yespr tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich perfume and apparently safran. I just realized I dont like this spice. Disgusting!
