Pensez-y !

33cl bottle @ home shared with my girlfriend. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell paint, something weird, herbs or spices. Taste malts, slightly fruity hints, herbs and spices, mint. Not as bad as the smell. Aftertaste is really weird again. Something hot, burning on my tongue, so probably some peppers. No, this is really weird stuff. Not my thing at all.

Bottle. Murky golden yellow color, massive tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of feet, grapefruit, spice. Pepper and lemon in the taste, with rising bread dough Interesting.

Thinn but lasting grey lace. Very clowdy yellow color. Red pepper aromas. Spicy pepper taste with some sweetness and a hard bitterness.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Fruity spicy nose with more muscot than pepper. Dryish soft and somewhat yeasty with tart, juicy tangerines and som white pepper. Low bitterness.

33cl bottle, pours a clouded orange/yellow. Spiciest smelling beer I’ve ever had. After the overpowering aroma, the flavors are surprisingly balanced, more spiced fruit than pure pepper, but still way too spiced for my taste. Pepper lingers in mouth and nose.

Bottle at Place Luxembourg market. Murky orange body with big puffy head. Nose is spicy, herbal and sweet. Some rhubarb definitely in the house. Taste is fruits, spices, rhubarb again. Grassy and sweet. Not really my thing. A bit too tangy and sweet.

Hazy dark yellow color, small white head. I felt like in a pharmacy or hospital with first nose. Body seems to be medium and small carbonation makes beer similar to medicine. Mixture of myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and saffron plus other herbs so typical for spirits on base of amaro on palate. Also very herby finish. B@home

sayravai (4673) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 26, 2011
(Bottled) Opaque orange with a smallish, but firm and creamy head. Very nice aroma with pepper, garden herbs, pale honeyish malt, flowery-saisony notes. Flavor is smoothly pale-malty, spicy and orange-fruity, with a long, peppery-gingery-spicy finish. Medium to full body, soft CO2. A very nice, spicy and saisony ale, that reminds me of the excellent Fantôme brews. Very nice if you like pepper (like I do)! 4356

(75cl bottle 2008 vintage thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy copper with a film of fine white bubbles. Nose of rhubarb, spicy, honey, really a very spicy beer on the nose. Taste of rhubarb, curry, florals, and overall it’s just TOO spicy. Oily body with a very carbonated finish that doesn’t help the spiciness.
