diabel (1188), Aarschot, Belgium Mar 6, 2008 At ZBF 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium Hazy amber body. Creamy off-white head. Aroma of smoke, hops, medicines ... very ’special’. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour, somewhat metallic. Quite complex with an ok balance.
Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A pepper beer that was far from agressive
I like:
Nicely integrated Belgian yeast provides fair supporting esters. Generally spicy more than absolutely focused on pepper.
I dislike:
Rather bland bready malts. Not really focused on anything. Nondescript carbonation and texture.
