jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Jul 6, 2006 Bottled. Very nice, sweet fruits and herbal aroma. Cloudy, orange color, yellowish head, very nice lace. Very interesting flavors. Yeasty, but also quite complex with fruits, herbs, spices and a nice bitterness. Although just 7.5% still alcoholic. Overall impressive and not quite what I was expecting. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 4, 2007 Bottled. Cloudy golden, lively head. Thenose greets me with pine needles and yeast, which gradually turns towards cranberries. Tart and berryish with rounded mouthfeel. Feels lighter than 7.5% with it’s relatively light body and creamy mouthfeel. Soft and mild with nuttym, chalky notes. Sigmund (1896), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 31, 2006 Bottle, at Delirium Café, Göteborg. Hazy, deep golden colour. The last beer of the evening, and it may be safely said that I was ... duh, slightly intoxicated ... at that moment, but I still had the ability to notice that this was another decent Belgian, well worth being sampled as the FIRST beer of the evening - at another occasion ... bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Nov 7, 2005 Orange color. Hops, peach and citrus in the aroma. Full bodied. Very citric, even a bit sharp flavor, but also rather hoppy and even a bit oily. Some resemblance to a raw and sweetened version of Orval. Not bad at all, could be more refined. Not a sign of infection. rickgordon (3060), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 7, 2006 Bottle, Delirium Café.
Clear amber colour. Poor head. Nice maltiy aroma with a good hop profile. Good malt sweetness but a little light in body. There is a pils malt profile that turns a bit sour. Little almondy. Nice and dry finish.
