Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel, yeast, and spices, as well as lighter notes of chili. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of fruit, medium notes of malt, and light notes of chili, leading to a dry finish. The chili leaves a slight burn in the mouth.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2010 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear amber with a smallish off-white head. Spicy aroma, not really that peppery - more gingery really. Medium body, sweet caramel, overripe fruit, a whiff of smoke and a peppery bite. Has a vague underlying tartness, but not any real bitterness. A fun beer. 241009 and 040610

Bottle, 6.5%. Spicy aniseed aroma, a little sweet. Cloudy amber colour. Small white head. The flavour starts off a bit smokey, turns OK malty. Then comes the chili, quite late like chilli usually does. Good chili level.

RBESG 2010, bottle at Johnny’s Off License, Rome
Hazy amber color, creamy head. Malt aroma, with light infection, and smell of rancid pork meat. Mild malt flavor, chili, flowers, vegetables, and possibly light infection. Low bitterness the chili veil in the end is delicate. Useless.
And if i think that I even paid for this beer...

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Joris encouraged us to try this. Chilli plastic aroma. That’s not too bad. Good hot chilli finish. Not sure I’d have this again. But not as bad as I feared with moderate hot chilli.
