UPDATED: JUN 2, 2004 Golden, white head. Aroma is malty. This beer is meant to be a way to celebrate the makers of the swedish Göta Kanal, the longest swedish canal. Since one of the makers was scottish, the beer is said to be flirting with whiskey. But it is more vinous, hoppy and a little woddy. Maybe with some touches of whiskey, but definately not much.

Jaha, det här var ingen höjdare men den förtärdes i söderköping under en mycket behaglig och minnesvärd kväll vilket kan ha påverkat mina siffror lite. Slutsats: undvik den såvida ni inte är i Söderköping och lever det ljuva livet.

Bottle from systembolaget in Vadstena. It poured a watery yellow liquid with a white head. Weird smell on this one, woody with a chemical note. Similar taste, light malty with a note of grass and a mild bitterness.

Flaska 50cl. Den här ölen lanseras som en blandning av det bästa från Sverige och Skottland: öl och whiskey. Man kan konstatera att den lilla whiskey som anas räddar denna lager från ett lägre betyg. På det stora hela en helt ordinär lager, både vad gäller utseende och doft. Men den lilla whiskeyaningen lyfter smaken till något eget, till något rätt trevligt faktiskt. För i övrigt är det rätt tunt, rätt smaklöst.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with small white head. Has a fruity grainy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy malty flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish.

Bottle, 33cl - Pale golden beer with almost no head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of corn, alcohol and some whiskey. Flavor is malty with notes of alcohol and strange mild whisky. Not that good.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear golden with a small white head. Strange praline aroma. Medium body, sweetish malt and again these strange candy notes. Finishes dry. 190908

Bottled@SBWF2008. Pale yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is crackers, bread and mildly sweet malts. Flavour is diacetylic and rather toffeeish. Not very exciting.

Cloudy golden with tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavour with cardboard and grainy notes.

Bottle, 50 cl. Hazy golden, small white head. Bready malt aroma, stale notes of coconut and vanilla, little hops. Decent mouthfeel. A bit sweet with low bitterness. Not so good.
