Man of Kent. I had three pints of this. I am uncertain of the condition of beers at Man Of Kent, so as this was fairly drinkable I stuck with it. It was on the limit, and by the third pint was showing evidence of oxidisation. There is a musty character that may be due to brewing conditions rather than storage at the pub. On the whole, a drinkable dark red beer, with some roasted notes. Slightly dry with a tendency toward tannic.

Cask @ "The Man Of Kent" Rochester. Nice dark vibez. This beer was heafty and felt way more boozy than 3.5%. The maltiness was fat and syrupy ..sweet and roasted. Chalky drunken raisins ...burnt toast and red wine. Chocolate covered earth.,A lotta flavaz for such weak booze presence.!

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 1 Dec 2007) Black colour with brownish hints, brief head. Roasted, malty nose with freshly ground, black coffee and hints of tar. Roasted, malty taste with notes of coffee and ashes. Fairly heavily roasted, rather dry. Good and tasty mild.

Cask at The Wenlock Arms. Dark brown, almost black with a small froth. Fruity and somewhat earthy aroma. Starts out with sweet fruit, a touch of roast emerges towards the finish. Flat and light-bodied. Agreeable.
